Titan anodizing

The technology is used to produce or reinforce oxide layers on titanium or titanium alloys. It protects the objects from corrosion, abrasion and provides electrical insulation and biocompatibility. The titanium part is submerged in a special solution. A electrolysis is carried out, in which the anode surface (workpiece corresponds to the anode) is forming oxide layer built up. The result of the coating is a thin, firmly adhering titanium oxide layer which appears colored. The resulting titanium oxid film acts as an interference filter. By varying the voltage and duration of the electrolysis, a wide range of colored oxide layers can be produced according to customer requirements.
